BalletX, Philadelphia\u2019s premier contemporary ballet company, returns to The Joyce Theater to launch its 20th Anniversary Season with a celebration of two decades of daring dance and transformative artistry. With a remarkable 150 original works commissioned from over 80 choreographers worldwide, BalletX continues to shape the future of ballet through bold new voices and unforgettable performances.<\/p>\n
This dynamic program features the New York premieres of Sojourner<\/em> (2025) by Gregory Dawson, an electrifying collaboration with composer Luke Carlos O\u2019Reilly featuring a live ensemble of New York jazz greats, and Scales on the Wings of a Butterfly<\/em> (2025), a striking new work by rising choreographer Noelle Kayser inspired by the art of microscopic photography.
